The Lamborghini Countach........a 12 Cylinder Symphony that shakes the earth below it.
Nestled in the Litchfield Hills of Connecticut is a car collection of some of the most unique cars of our time. Comprised of mostly vintage Lamborghinis, this not the largest collection but a very important one. The cars are VERY rare. The other marques are unique. The future additions will be special.
Please check back periodically as more cars will be added to the site.
A Collector that enjoys bringing buyer and seller enthusiasts together.
Update: May 1st, 2010......Countach on the way to Exoticars-USA! See Countach page.
UPDATE: June 11, 2010.......Hi everyone, this morning I contacted Wil at www.Exoticars-usa.com I gave him permission to perform the bodywork and paint.
Check the Countach page & check back soon.
Update: June 23, 2010........Peter has sent us some photos of the work in progress. See Countach page.
He also informed us that he had been working feverishly on purchasing the 9th Lamborghini Espada, the Series One, outside Fontainebleau, France. But the auction house, Osenat, absolutely failed in it professionalism and the car went to a German collector . Peter is considering legal options. Very disappointing as it was a VERY special car.
Update: July 21, 2010........... Peter just informed us that he bought a Lamborghini Jarama #10150. It is a VERY early car. It is a black with red interior car. He says photos are coming soon as he is making arrangements for shipping the car to Connecticut.
Update: July 27, 2010......The 1971 Jarama GT has been picked up this morning and is currently en route to Connecticut. I decided to try Exotic Car Transport this time, enclosed trailer.
Update: July 27, 2010.......I have posted some photos of the Countach undergoing bodywork and paint. Please take a look at the Countach section.
Update: July 30, 2010.....Jarama #10150 arrived. See photos in the Photos section.
Update: August 6, 2010.....More photos of Jarama #10150 with an assessment from Peter.
Update: September 10, 2010..... Peter has this terrific news:
The Ferrari & Friends Concorso. I guess I volunteered to be the organiser for the Lamborghini side of this large event. I need to gather up as many Lamborghini as possible.
It is a Make-a-Wish, Childrens Hosp etc show, concorso, and police escort parade and drive with the kids.
An absolutely touching event.
Fathers Day, June 19th 2011
Farmington Polo Ground, Farmington, Connecticut
Fee per car : TBA but I sense very reasonable.
Spectator fee: TBA but I think there will not be a gate fee but a per car fee of $5-$10.
Local hotels will be involved if you need.
This large CHARITY event was a fantastic Ferrari-only show in Hartford at the State Capital. The new organisers have opened it up to ALL Italians and have moved it to The Farmington Polo Grounds.
AND opened it up to vendors.
More info to come throughout the fall and winter.
It seems they want to make it simular to Le Belle Machine at Skytop. A GREAT event. If this is the goal, I urge everyone to come, well worth it.
Thanks, Peter Karam
As a personal note, I would love to have each model represented.
Update: November 2, 2010.....In response to many emails, the Countach paint is complete. I am having Exoticars continue with suspension work. My work on the Jarama is complete for now. I have contacted Chad Bolles in S.C., who is an asset for Countach owners. He will be continuing the Jarama work for me.
Also, as planned for this Fall, a video I was working on, made with a producer friend, is on hold until the car comes back. The video will be very different than the usual youtube car clips. It will be more like a short. The producer deals a lot with suspense, mysterious, and mild horror. The film would revolve around the cars.
Update November 8, 2010.... We had a meeting for the Ferrari and Friends Concorso at the Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford. We had 3 reps for Ferrari, one for Alfa, myself for Lamborghini plus an owner, one from Make a Wish, one from CT Children's Medical Center Foundation. This show is NOT your typical car show...especailly when the Dept of Defense is contacted about F-16 fly-overs (they do not do that for charity events), $1-2 million expected for charity, 3-6000 estimated attence, a Polo match between Uconn and another U., etc. For $10 parking and free admission...it is a great deal, especailly for families.
Update: December 23, 2010.....Merry Christmas my friends.
Update: January 26, 2011.....Peter tells us not much is going on. The Countach work is complete but has told Exoticars-USA to tuck the car away. Work will resume late February/early March with a coolant service, recover the dash, and set the 6 weber carbs. After that, Peter says, car is coming home without doubt. Apparantly there are those who have seen the car and state that it is amazing looking.
The Jarama is still in South Carolina and is turning into a very big project. The entire braking (calipers, boosters, slaves, lines, masters etc) and clutch system is being replaced. Heads are getting done. Various other parts replaced or rebuilt. The Urraco and other cars are asleep under covers and not costing him a dime :)
You're probably saying..hey it's winter why hasn't Peter bought another car? ....Fear not, he is looking to purchase a new truck :) and always has an eye out for something exotic.
Update: February 13, 2011........Hello everyone, hope all is well with this endless winter. I just wanted to inform everyone that I have been working on building a website for the Ferrari and Friends Concorso. I hope to have it up in the next week or 2. I am also working on a show within the show. A Countach Reunion. As well as all the other models. I am working on gathering brutal Murcielagos, Gallardos, Diablos. And most importantly, the priceless vintage models.
Just so we all understand, this events attracts 3000-6000 spectators and well over 100 Ferrari's. We expect to double that number with the addition of Lamborghini, Alfa, Maserati, Detomaso, Fiat.
Please come, The Concorso is centered around kids and enhancing the life of children.
That is why all the proceeds from the Concorso is donated to the several charities.
Make-A-Wish Foundation
Connecticut Children's Medical Center
Village for Families and Children
Autism Speaks
Update: February 25, 2011......Here is the website for the concorso ferrari and friends that i have created. It has been a busy winter and a lot of time and effort is going into this event by everyone. The group I am working with, the board and the charities, are incredible. I love being involved with anything that involves kids who need a chance and enhancing the life of kids! If I can do that with my cars, i will.

Update: March 19, 2011.......Peter sent us a message that he has contacted Wil Degroot at Exoticars-usa. He told Wil to blow the dust off the countach and roll it into the work area. Work will include, as previously mentioned, interior dash restoration, coolant service, and 6 carburators serviced. Just as a side note, a coolant service is a fairly big job. The coolant system is very large with dual radiators and many many coolant lines and hoses. Also, Peter did buy a truck, a crew cab duelie diesel.
Update: May 8, 2011.......Major wrench thrown into up coming plans. In a couple of weeks I am having unexpected back
Update: May16, 2011........Many things to report. I am having upexpected back surgery (2nd one) that throws a wrench in the Concorso event for me. I have had a 2 level lumbar fusion and 4 knee surgeries in the last 3yrs. Will keep everyone posted. I hope to make it there with the cars.
Also, as from the above photos, I have the car back. I am very happy with it. Looks new! Drove like an animal on the way to the Batcave.
The car was delivered to me at a private 40th Anniversary of the Countach event in New York this past weekend. 24 Countachs were in attendance. That is a record number for the US. It's always great to see friends. Many thanks to Mario and Cyntia for a fantastic event. More photos on the Photos page.
So, that was the Countach reunion. That leaves the Farmngton event short on Lamborghinis. There are several Gallardo, a few Countachs, an Urraco coming. A few more to sign up, like a Diablo and a Murcielago.
Update: June 15, 2011......This Sunday is the Ferrari and Lamborghini show at the Farmington Polo Grounds. Quite a handful of Lamborghinis will be there. Forcast is for 80 and sunny & breezy. That would be great. I have my Countach ready to go and am planning to drive it there providing I can get comfortable in the car after this spinal surgery. Will take a test drive Thursday morning. The plan includes trailering the Urraco. Hope all who have contacted me will be there. Come find me and say hello!
Update: June 22, 2011.......Peter informed us that the show was a huge success! Some photos above. 120-140 cars and 1000's of spectators.
Update: August 24, 2011......Hope summer is great for everyone. The Ferrari and Friends show was a fantastic success. Several weeks after the show we gathered at Vito's by the Park in Hartford for a post-show dinner to discuss results. We raised over $20,000 and that does not include the dozens of private donations. Estimated for be $100,000-$200,000. Plus there were several thousand in attendance. In Sept/Oct we plan to meet regarding 2012.
With the Countach being driven a couple of times a month, work continues on the Jarama. A new water pump had to be purchased. Significant because only one source had it new in the US. Also, last week, a set of racing intake and exhaust valves were also purchased. 75% of the brake system have been recovered from the USPS as they lost the entire shipment. Now, finding 25% of Lamborghini brake parts for a car that only 160 were made. Good luck.

Update: November 25, 2011.......Here is a photo of 3 Countachs from the weekly Sunday gathering at Starbucks in Glastonbury, CT.
Update: December 25, 2011......Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. PK
Update: December 27, 2011......Interestingly, I was contacted by the then-girlfriend of the original owner. She recoginized the car and confrimed the Majid Panahpour took delivery when new. THEN I contacted Majid himself, who confirmed ownership.
Update: December 29, 2011.....After dialog with Mr. Panahpour and confirming with my contacts at the Lamborghini factory, both confirmed that the car was ordered directly from the Lamborghini factory through Garage du Bout du Monde, Marcel Willemin in Geneva, Switzerland. Took delivery in Geneva in 1978. He kept car there for one year. At that point, he had it imported to Beverly Hills in 1979. He enjoyed the car until 1982.
Update: January 19, 2012.....The Jarama work continues. The cooling system and exhaust system all being done. We are told there will be no mufflers on this car! Just the sweet sound of a the V-12, 6 Carbs, going straight through the exhaust pipes.
Also, a Mercedes SL500 has been added.

Update: January 23, 2012....Been very busy with the Holidays, car show, preparing to relaunch the car show website, a commercial property purchase that I have been working on for an agonizing 19 months, and car stuff! Just wanted to log on with some info. I've had a handful of emails asking about the 2012 Ferrari/Lamborghini show. Most importantly, the Father's Day date will be changed. We feel that it would be in everyone's best interest to change that date. It will be on one of two dates, June 24th or July 1. Will confirm soon.
Also, got that Mercedes for my father. Surprisingly nice car.
